Period/theme/mood(costume/set/etc.): medieval fantasy (Ren Faire/SCA/fantasy costumes)
Basic rundown: It's winter time and a time of many indoor festivals and feasts. Now is the time for the holiday of Winter's Eve, a night of merriment, laughter, games and gossip (you can just never keep that out of courtly affairs). This year there's a buzz in the ear of all the noble folk and those wanting to become noble. Not only is the aged Grand Advisor talking of retiring and seeking a new Grand Advisor to take their place, but the Emperor of Somasia is accepting suitors for his lovely daughter. Much power, wealth and prestige to be had for the right persons. Will you be that person? Will you back that person? Will you do your best to foil that person?

The system is strongly influenced by White Wolf's Second Edition Mind's Eye Theater, but has many changes and differences. This will be a fantasy game (i.e. faeries, elves, knights, wizards, magic, monsters, etc.), so be thinking about garb, props and such. Keep checking back for more info.
***Also, if you would like to play, but don't want to get really involved (it's your first time, you're just curious, but want to do more than watch, etc.), PM the GM about being an "extra". This is one of the games that could use people to play servants, guards, etc. (people important to the look and feel of the story, but not in-depth characters that you need to do a lot with). Sometimes a great way for the shy first-timer to get into the action without actually fully immersing themselves. Please feel free to RSVP, as well, for these characters if you wish. Thank you!
