I'm fairly certain I have a furry hat that would pass for a good Russian style hat, but it has no star. I star could be sewn (just tacked, so it could be removed without damaging the hat) to it. I will check to make sure I have it and then I'll edit this post if my info is incorrect. _________________ "Everyone's here to have fun. I used to have quite an array of soviet ww2 clothes and other memorabilia. I used to be a amateur collector of communist paraphernalia. I'll see what i can dig up. _________________ Rev. Necifer

Ahhhh, excellent! I think the two of you may have everything I need clothing-wise, then. Can I please bum off of you guys? It would save me a lot of stress searching for that sorta thing in the city.

Or... before hours, as it were. _________________ "Everyone's here to have fun. If you're being an a**hole, then someone's not going to have fun. So, don't be an a**hole." Michael Archangel of Game Balance and the Level Fields of Fair Play Ex-ST of Crucible Chronicle

This notice is way later than I wanted to send it out, but if people would like (and they have a way to get to my place), I have a great acting books on accents that includes all of the kinds that may be needed for this game. Along with the text, the book comes with audio to help with practice. I can copy the relevant text and audio tracks (for borrowing to use for this game) if anyone is interested. I am doing the text tonight, but have six copies of the audio already on CD.
I wish I'd had a chance to mention it earlier, but I kept forgetting I had the book.
***If you are interested, PM me.***
Also, check with the GMs for some of your costuming needs as I have loaned a few giant duffel bags of stuff to them for this game (refuge stuff, gypsy stuff, some military stuff). There are many men's coats (suit and trench), many pairs of shoes (men's and women's, but mostly men's), several pairs of slacks, some shirts, some skirts, a few dresses, some scarves and shawls, a few hats, and some misc military items. I will have to remember to grab a bunch of belts and get those to the GMs as well.
There will also be a makeup station at game with makeup, mirrors, etc. _________________ "Everyone's here to have fun. If you're being an a**hole, then someone's not going to have fun. Hello everyone, so we are closing in on the 17th and I figured I'd answer some general questions and a few pointers before the big day!
1. Are there dressing rooms/rest rooms?
Yes, there are going to be 3 dressing rooms and there are rest rooms for all!
2.Where is game?
We will be sending out the directions via PM (Personal Message) today or tomorrow. I will warn people that you will be parking in one area and then riding the max for a couple of stops within fareless square, then walking a little ways to the game location. Since a good chunk of costuming is pretty normal looking you could come to game in costume or wait till you get to the location and get changed.
3.Can you help me with my costume?
But of course we can, between Ex-St and myself we have a rather nice selection of slacks, jackets, shirts, skirts, dresses, shoes, military garb and even some cheap tattered prison smocks.
4.Do I have to pay to go to this event?
No, of course not. Shaglarp makes sure that we never need to charge you for a game that we're running.
5.Are we having afters, if so, where?
Yes, we are having afters. That information will be sent out with the location/directions for game.
6.Will there be any snacks at game?
We will have some snacks and drinks in game for you to munch on, they are actually going to be in-game so watch out for stealing, hording etc.
Communication and Accents
This game is not set in an English speaking setting; this is before the teaching of English had become standardized. So the base language in this game is Polish. When you are talking to some one in this game, you are speaking in Polish. Only one character in the game can not speak polish, everyone else has that language.
There will be cards that will have big letters on them that will let players know if they are speaking another language, as there are many people in this game that have multiple languages, If you are from another country that has a different language then it is assumed you know that language as well. The languages in game as are follows: E=English R=Russian G=German Rom=Gypsy language A=Arabic L=Latin H=Hebrew
Accents: Personally I love accents, but not everyone can do them. So if you are unable to get an accent down, don't worry to much about it. If you want to do an accent then by all means go for it. Since Polish is the base language there is no real reason to have it be accented, unless you feel inspired to do so. If you are from a different country of origin it might be nice to try to get the accent from that region, so Russian, German and Tartar's would probably have an accent of some kind. Even the English characters would have colloquialisms that are strange.
Please, check the forums as well as your private messages often this week, as there could and probably will be updates till Friday. Myself and the other GM will not have any internet access the day of game. In my directions pm I will provide cell numbers so if you need to get a hold of us you can via phone. But if you send us something the day of game we will not receive it.[/b]
RSVP's and NPC's
For those of you who RSVP'd to the game but did not get your character requests in before today I must unfortunately say that the game is closed for new players. It is too close for us to be making new characters and detailed info for this game. If you are still interested in being a part of this game then feel free to PM us and we might be able to use some more npcs/stage hands to help us backstage. Once again I am sorry that we were unable to make new characters for you but the last week of game is very hectic, and there's always next time. We have great games running every month and Cthulhu will be happening again.
I'm really looking towards this Saturday and hope everyone has fun!! _________________ Rev. Necifer

I have updated the character list to include all the characters that have been chosen over the weekend.
Another note about game is a formality:
In order for us to do this awesome game in the awesome location the owners of Fright Town are asking that everyone who is playing sign volunteer form, this form does not contractually bind you to Fright Town in any way, you will not be added to their volunteer data base, you will not be pestered by e-mails or anything else.
I repeat, this form does not bind you to Fright Town in any way. The form is basically acting as a waiver so that is anyone gets hurt you can't sue Fright Town. The owners have been really awesome in not requiring us to have to buy insurance (which is incredibly expensive) to let us use the space.
So if anyone is unwilling to sign a this waiver so they can play please PM me. It's just a standard procedure to cover Fright Town's butt.
Another thing this form does do, if you are interested you can be an actor in the haunt. Which means if you are interested you can get in costume and scare people for the haunt. I know myself and some other people are interested in scarin' folk . _________________ Rev. Necifer
